Understory Notes

Understory Notes is a specialized Mac application designed for writers, researchers, and students who need to organize their thoughts and research efficiently. It serves as a digital workspace where users can collect notes while reading, then structure these notes into outlines, and draft sections with relevant research materials alongside. The tool's unique value lies in its seamless integration of note-taking, outlining, and drafting, enabling users to produce polished outputs such as PDFs, Rich Text, Markdown, or even publish directly as a website. Geared towards those who write as a process—whether for academic papers, articles, or books—Understory simplifies the transition from raw research to finished document, making it ideal for writers who value structure and clarity.
