SpeechFast

SpeechFast is a powerful offline speech-to-text tool designed specifically for Mac users who need a reliable and private dictation solution. By simply holding the fn key and speaking, users can have their spoken words transcribed directly into any application—whether it's Mail, Slack, Notion, or a code editor. What sets SpeechFast apart is its emphasis on privacy and offline functionality; the speech model is downloaded once and all processing occurs locally on the Mac, ensuring that no audio or text ever leaves the device. This makes it ideal for sensitive environments, travel, or corporate networks with strict security policies. With features like custom vocabulary for names and jargon, and a history of recent dictations stored locally, SpeechFast offers a seamless, private, and efficient dictation experience that integrates naturally into everyday workflows.
