NumBan

NumBan is an innovative security tool designed to combat phone scammers by focusing on voicemail callback numbers, which cannot be easily spoofed. Unlike traditional call-blocking apps that rely on caller ID, NumBan transcribes voicemails, extracts the callback number, and automatically reports suspicious or abandoned numbers to relevant abuse teams. This approach provides a more reliable way to identify and mitigate scam calls, making it especially valuable for individuals and organizations vulnerable to phone-based fraud. By tracking abandoned numbers and maintaining a leaderboard, NumBan also fosters a community-driven effort to reduce nuisance calls. Its seamless integration and focus on voicemail data set it apart in the fight against spoofed caller ID scams.
